Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made from EBC Commerce, trading under the commercial name mellowsheets.

ARTICLE 1 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

1.1 EU, EEA and United Kingdom

Consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area and United Kingdom generally have the right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 days after receiving the product, without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us within the applicable 14-day period.

1.2 Customers Outside These Regions

For customers outside the EU, EEA and United Kingdom, change-of-mind returns may be offered by mellowsheets in accordance with this policy, unless mandatory consumer legislation in your country provides additional rights.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory statutory rights you may have regarding defective, damaged or non-conforming products.

1.3 Condition of Returned Products

When exercising a change-of-mind return, you may inspect and handle the product only to the extent reasonably necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Returned products should, where reasonably possible, be returned:

  • unused beyond what is necessary for inspection;

  • with original accessories and components;

  • with labels and tags intact where applicable; and

  • in the original packaging where reasonably possible.

We may reduce the amount refunded where permitted by law if the value of a product has been diminished as a result of handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

ARTICLE 2 – RETURN PROCEDURE

2.1 Requesting a Return

Please include your order number and sufficient information for us to identify your purchase.

2.2 Return Instructions

After your return request has been reviewed, you will receive the applicable return instructions and return address.

Do not send a return to the address printed on the original shipping label unless we specifically instruct you to do so.

Our shipping and fulfilment locations are not necessarily authorised return facilities. Returns sent to an incorrect address may experience significant delays or may be impossible to process.

2.3 Withdrawal Form

Where required by applicable law, consumers may also exercise their right of withdrawal using the statutory model withdrawal form available on our website.

Use of the model form is not mandatory where another clear statement of withdrawal is permitted by law.

ARTICLE 3 – RETURN SHIPPING COSTS AND LOCATION

3.1 International Returns

mellowsheets works with international fulfilment and logistics partners.

Depending on the product and order destination, the designated return facility may be located outside your country or region, including outside Europe.

For change-of-mind returns, the Consumer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product where this has been disclosed before purchase and where permitted by applicable law.

International return shipping can therefore be significantly more expensive than domestic return shipping.

This does not apply where mellowsheets is legally responsible for the return costs, including qualifying cases involving defective, damaged, incorrect or non-conforming products.

3.2 Proof of Return

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning an item.

Please retain:

  • your shipping receipt;

  • the Track & Trace number; and

  • any other evidence showing that the return was sent to the return address supplied by mellowsheets.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may request proof that the returned goods have been dispatched before processing a refund.

3.3 Finland

Consumers in Finland are responsible for direct return shipping costs for change-of-mind withdrawals only where this responsibility has been properly communicated before purchase and may legally be imposed on the Consumer.

Mandatory Finnish consumer rights remain unaffected.

ARTICLE 4 – EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain products where an exclusion is permitted under applicable law.

This may include:

  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and which have been unsealed after delivery;

  • products made to the Consumer's specifications or clearly personalised;

  • goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and

  • other products specifically excluded from withdrawal rights under applicable legislation.

An exclusion will only be applied where the legal requirements for that exclusion have been satisfied.

ARTICLE 5 – DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

5.1 Reporting a Problem

If your product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to your order, contact:

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the problem.

We may request reasonable evidence such as photographs or videos showing the issue in order to investigate your claim.

Providing photographs or videos does not limit any mandatory statutory rights you may have.

5.2 Statutory Consumer Rights

mellowsheets respects the mandatory statutory warranty and conformity rights applicable in the Consumer's country.

For consumers in the European Union, products are covered by applicable legal conformity guarantees. EU consumers generally have a minimum two-year legal guarantee for goods that are faulty or do not conform to the sales agreement.

Some countries provide additional protection.

5.3 Ireland

Consumers in Ireland retain their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

Where applicable, consumers may have a short-term right to terminate the sales contract and obtain a refund when a qualifying fault is reported within 30 days of receiving the goods.

5.4 United Kingdom

Consumers in the United Kingdom retain all applicable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

For qualifying faulty goods, the statutory short-term right to reject generally applies for 30 days, subject to the conditions of applicable law.

5.5 Remedies

Depending on the jurisdiction, nature of the defect and applicable law, the Consumer may be entitled to remedies including:

  • repair;

  • replacement;

  • price reduction; or

  • full or partial refund.

Where mellowsheets is legally responsible for a defective or non-conforming product, remedies will be provided without improperly charging the Consumer for costs that must legally be borne by the seller.

ARTICLE 6 – REFUSED AND UNCOLLECTED SHIPMENTS

If a shipment is refused without a valid statutory reason, is not collected from a designated collection point, or is returned because delivery could not be completed due to circumstances attributable to the Consumer, reasonable direct costs actually incurred as a result may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.

This may include applicable return shipping or carrier charges.

This provision does not limit statutory rights relating to defective products, failed delivery or other circumstances for which mellowsheets is legally responsible.

ARTICLE 7 – REFUNDS

7.1 Change-of-Mind Withdrawal

For a valid full statutory withdrawal, mellowsheets will refund the eligible payments received from the Consumer, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order where required by applicable law.

Additional delivery costs resulting from the Consumer choosing a more expensive delivery option are generally not refundable where permitted by law.

7.2 Refund Timing

Where EU or other applicable consumer law requires it, refunds will be issued no later than 14 days after we have been informed of the Consumer's decision to withdraw.

For physical goods, mellowsheets may withhold reimbursement until:

  • the returned goods have been received; or

  • the Consumer provides adequate evidence that the goods have been sent back,

whichever occurs first, where permitted by applicable law.

7.3 Refund Method

Unless otherwise agreed with the Consumer, refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

The Consumer will not be charged a fee by mellowsheets solely for receiving the refund.

Processing times after a refund has been issued may vary depending on the bank, card issuer or payment provider.

7.4 Partial Refunds

Where permitted by applicable law, mellowsheets may make a reasonable deduction from a refund where the value of returned goods has been reduced because the Consumer handled the product beyond what was necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Any such deduction will be assessed based on the circumstances of the return.
